First Blog

blogging

I have always wanted to start a blog, but felt that I would never find the time to keep up with the demands of updating a blog. Yes, there were issues that I passionately cared about; but, I never considered myself a writer. Moreover, who would care about what I had to say?

This all changed last week. While scanning my students’ Regents exams at the Board, I reconnected with one of the participants from a SMART Board workshop that I facilitated several years ago. She shared that the workshop left an indelible mark and that she continues to utilize the skills learned during the training.

So, I have decided to use this blog as a vehicle to share with colleagues my best practices in 21st century science education.  My aim is to investigate, implement various technologies, curriculum frameworks, instructional practices, assessment strategies and share my findings with you.
